The People Who Run Dia Bonito

Our Family

We are a family who built a resort in a way that we would want to visit. The world-class international team we gathered here is the reason it works.

From Tim & Liz

We are an American family who fell in love with Bocas del Toro and decided not to leave.

Liz and I spent years building luxury vacation experiences for families and groups in our rental properties back home in Florida. The moment we stood on the dock here on Isla Solarte and watched the sunset over the archipelago, we knew we wanted to build something here that did not exist yet. So we bought the island and got to work.

The team you will meet below is the reason it works. Each of them came from operations that begged to keep them. If anything falls short during your stay, that is on us, not on them. Please email us. We always answer.

Lina, our Ama de Casa
Ama de Casa

Lina

Lina is our Ama de Casa, which in other words means, our house mother. She is a resort-trained chef, bartender, and housekeeper who keeps your drinks full, your bellies happy, and your rooms clean and comfortable. By the time you arrive she has already drafted the menu to keep your group happy. Even the picky eight-year-old and the gluten-free aunt. She keeps it that way every single day of your stay, and none of it requires a decision from you. As it should be.

Jorge, our Director of Operations
Director of Operations

Jorge

If you like the resort, you can thank Jorge, our Director of Operations. Master builder, licensed captain, and handyman genius all rolled into one. If a hinge squeaks, he hears it before you do. If the pool needs attention, he is your man. If the AC quits, he is already on it. Simply put, the engine does not run without Jorge.

Guest Experience

Guest Experience

Before you arrive, the guest experience team runs the onboarding call: food allergies, the activities to book, the ones to skip, the shape of your stay. By the time you reach the dock, the boat days are scheduled and the plans are in place. On the property, they keep the rhythm of the day, manage the bar in the evening, and make sure the small things are handled before you notice them.

We hope to meet you at the dock.
